Movistar is NOT the same as Telefonica S.A., the multinational parent group; Movistar refers specifically to Telefonica's Spanish consumer brand for mobile, fiber, and TV. Movistar is also distinct from its own MVNO sub-brand O2, which resells the Movistar network under separate pricing. Movistar is not the same as Movistar+ (the TV/streaming product), though the two share a brand name.
