Does No Minimum Term Mean the Price Stays the Same?

No. Sin permanencia means you can leave without a penalty; it says nothing about the price. The research (finding 3, grade A) found that Movistar advertises its fibre without a minimum term even though the price steps up after 12 months. In year one, Movistar Fibra 300 Mb is EUR 37.20 cheaper than O2 Fibra 300 Mb. From month 18 the running total at O2 is lower, and over 24 months Movistar costs EUR 46.80 more.

How Long Can a Fibre Contract in Spain Last?

Even a plan with a commitment has a legal ceiling. The rule below was read in the BOE text of Ley 11/2022 on 25 October 2026.

Contract length for consumer telecom contracts, October 2026.
TopicRuleLegal basis
Longest contract termA consumer telecoms contract may not run longer than 24 months. After an automatic renewal you can cancel at any time with at most one month's notice, paying only for the service during the notice period.Ley 11/2022, art. 67.7

Why Do Some Households Choose a Stable Price Over an Offer?

The research reports (grade B, a point of view drawn from user discussions, not a measured share): Spanish users often value a predictable monthly price and the freedom to leave over a lower 12-month offer. The research ties this to billing complaints in user forums and to the existence of the stable O2 and Pepephone no-term ladders. Treat it as a view, not a statistic. The two-year table above is the measurable part: on these plans, the stable price wins from month 18 at 300 Mb.

How Do You Check Which No-Term Plan Reaches Your Address?

Every plan on this page needs an address check. The research (finding 18, grade A) advises checking the Ministry's official broadband coverage map with your full street address first, then the provider's own coverage checker. A postcode-level coverage claim is not enough to choose a plan.
