Default order: price after any offer, lowest first. Plans that do not publish a figure rank last on that sort. No provider pays for its position and no link on this page is an affiliate link. Regional providers such as Euskaltel, Telecable, R, Embou and Excom were not re-checked in October 2026, so they are not listed with a price.
Does No Minimum Term Mean the Price Stays the Same in Spain?
No. Sin permanencia (no minimum term) means you can leave without a penalty; it says nothing about the price. Movistar Fibra 300 Mb has no minimum term, yet it costs EUR 19.90 a month for the first 12 months and EUR 30 after that (October 2026). O2 Fibra 300 Mb also has no minimum term and costs EUR 23 from month one.
| Plan | Year one | Year two | Two years |
|---|---|---|---|
| Movistar Fibra 300 Mb | EUR 238.80 | EUR 360 | EUR 598.80 |
| O2 Fibra 300 Mb | EUR 276 | EUR 276 | EUR 552 |
The reverse also happens: a plan can hold one price and still tie you in. DIGI Fibra SMART 500 Mb costs EUR 10 from month one with a 3-month commitment. Use the "Same price from month one" and "No minimum term" filters above to see which plans pass both tests.

What Types of Home Internet Connections Are Available in Spain?
- Fiber (FTTH)
Fiber to the home is the main technology for new connections in Spain. All 22 plans in the ranking above are FTTH with the same upload and download speed, from 300 Mbps to 2,000 Mbps. Nationally, FTTH passes 94.7 percent of households(86.5 percent in rural areas), as of June 2025 data in the Ministry for Digital Transformation's 2025 broadband coverage report, published March 2026.
- Cable and legacy DSL
The research behind this page could not confirm a current national DSL tariff on any provider page in October 2026. Cable and DSL survive mainly as older lines at specific addresses.
- 4G and 5G home routers
An option where fiber has not arrived or for short stays. Orange sells 5G en casa and Vodafone sells a flexible second-home router with day passes. The router installs itself, but speed depends on the indoor signal at your address. Prices are in our guide to temporary internet in Spain.
- Satellite
Starlink sells residential satellite internet in Spain. Its price depends on the address, so we do not show a figure; check it at your address on starlink.com.
How Do Spanish Internet Providers Compare on Price and Speed?

| Pepephone | 300 Mb, 600 Mb or 1 Gb | EUR 23 to EUR 34.60 | None |
| Lowi | 300 Mb, 600 Mb, 1 Gb | EUR 23 to EUR 31 | None |
| Finetwork | 600 Mb, 1 Gb | EUR 19.99 to EUR 24.99 | None |
| Vodafone | 600 Mb, 1 Gb | EUR 30 to EUR 35 | Yes, 12 months |

How Do You Check Fiber Availability at a Spanish Address?
Start with the Ministry for Digital Transformation's broadband coverage map (Avance Digital), then the provider's own checker. A postcode or a regional "coverage" claim is not enough to pick a winner: own-network prices such as DIGI Fibra SMART 500 Mb at EUR 10 apply street by street.
- Enter the full street address, not only the town or postcode.
- Write down every technology and operator the map shows.
- Enter the same address in two or three providers' coverage checkers (comprobar cobertura).
- If the map and a provider disagree, go by the provider's feasibility visit, but keep the map screenshot as evidence for any complaint.
- For a rural address, test indoor 4G or 5G signal and, for satellite, the view of the sky, separately.
- Before paying, save the pre-contract summary that shows the after-offer price, the term, installation and equipment return.
How Do You Set Up Home Internet in Spain?
Setting up home internet in Spain takes six steps, from the official address check to go-live. If you are still arranging your lease, our guide to Spanish rental documents covers the paperwork that comes first; for payment, see opening a bank account in Spain.
1. Check the official address map
Enter your full street address on the Ministry's broadband coverage map and keep a screenshot that shows the date, the address and the technologies listed.
2. Check retail availability
Enter the exact address at two likely providers. Own-network tiers (Digi and Adamo in the ranking above) and regional brands depend most on the address.
3. Prepare your documents
A DNI, NIE, TIE or other accepted identity document, your full address, a phone number and email, and payment details. Whether a Spanish IBAN is required is not consistently published: ask at checkout.
4. Read the pre-contract summary before accepting
Check the price after the offer, the minimum term, the installation fee and any installation charge you owe if you leave early, whether the router is on loan and must be returned, the public or static IP policy and the cancellation notice.
5. Choose a technician install or self-install
Fiber generally needs a technician unless an existing outlet can be reused. 4G and 5G routers are self-install. Satellite needs a clear view of the sky and a safe mounting point.
6. Track go-live and your cancellation risk
In October 2026, O2 advertised 24 to 48 hours for new service; Telecable stated about 5 days without landline portability and 14 days with it; Vodafone's flexible router ships in 2 to 3 working days on the peninsula and 5 to 7 days to the Balearics, Canaries, Ceuta and Melilla, and a bundle can take up to 24 hours to activate.
While you wait for the line, a prepaid SIM card with mobile data can bridge the gap.
What Can You Do if Your Internet Speed in Spain Is Too Slow?
Measure first with the CNMC's own Test de Velocidad Internet Oficial, ideally over a cable rather than WiFi, on several days.
Spanish telecom law protects your right to the advertised speed. Under Ley 11/2022, General de Telecomunicaciones (Chapter IV, including Article 69 on service quality), a significant or persistent gap between the speed you were sold and the speed you get is grounds for a complaint, and can entitle you to a bill reduction or to leave the contract without penalty, though the law does not set one fixed percentage threshold for every case. The law also guarantees every fixed address in Spain access to at least 10 Mbpsdownload as a universal service. Complain to your provider first, then to the CNMC or the Secretaria de Estado de Telecomunicaciones' Usuarios Teleco office.
What Internet Tips Should Newcomers to Spain Know?
- Compare plans on the price after the offer. 8 of the 22 plans above start lower for 12 months.
- "Free installation" can carry a condition: Orange charges the installation (EUR 242 with IVA) if you leave within 12 months, as of October 2026.
- If you game, run a VPN or need inbound connections, ask about public or static IP before you sign; consumer fiber pages rarely say.
- Review our user review comparison and price research pages before committing to a provider.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is the cheapest fiber internet plan in Spain?
It depends on your address. As of October 2026, the cheapest plan is DIGI Fibra SMART 500 Mb at EUR 10 a month, but it is sold only at addresses on Digi's own network and carries a 3-month commitment. The cheapest plan that costs the same from month one and is not limited to an own network is Finetwork Fibra 600 Mb at EUR 19.99 a month.
Does no minimum term mean the price never changes?
No. Movistar Fibra 300 Mb has no minimum term but costs EUR 19.90 a month for the first 12 months and EUR 30 after that (October 2026). "Sin permanencia" means you can leave without a penalty; it does not fix the price. Compare plans on the price after the offer, which is how the ranking on this page sorts.
Do I need a NIE or Spanish bank account to get home internet in Spain?
Expect to show a DNI, NIE, TIE or another accepted identity document, your full address, a phone number and email, and payment details. The research behind this page found that providers do not consistently publish whether a Spanish IBAN is required, so ask at checkout before you sign.
How long does it take to install home internet in Spain?
It varies by provider and by whether you keep a landline number. In October 2026, O2 advertised installation of new service in 24 to 48 hours, and Telecable stated about 5 days without landline portability and 14 days with it. Fiber usually needs a technician visit unless a previous outlet can be reused. Ask for an address-specific date before signing.
